The first time I breastfed in public I was terrified that someone would say something to me thanks to all those glorious horror stories I’d heard of moms being shamed for feeding their baby ⊍ ⊍

Someone asked this question on my social media feed recently: why do moms post pictures of themselves nursing their babies? Here are my answers-

1.To normalize it 💯

2.To feed their human child who needs milk to survive 🧐

3.To document a special bond between mama + baby

4.To empower women to feel comfortable doing the same thing

Q: if I were to take a picture of me bottle feeding my babies, would it make someone just as uncomfortable? 👀

Fed is best, whether you choose to nurse or formula feed 🍼

Nurse your baby, take a picture, keep the conversation going to #normalizebreastfeeding

You are allowed to beautifully exist in your body

You are allowed to beautifully exist in your body right now as it is. Not ten pounds from now. Not once you find the perfect angle. Not after you hide the stretch marks and conceal the cellulite.

I noticed tiny purple stretch marks on my belly from where my skin made room for Annie to grow. I smiled down at them and realized i wouldn’t trade those thin purple lines for anything.

Here to remind you to fully and radically love your body for all it has done for you, mama.

We are co-creators with God to bring these beautiful babies into this world. You’re allowed to beautifully exist right now, no apologies needed for how it looks 💫 #thisispostpartum
